from £9.99
Sold Out

Rich, sweet and creamy with a soft acidity. Like summer fruits with fresh cream or freshly-baked banana bread with sweet butterscotch sauce.

Daniel is a third-generation coffee farmer who’s been producing coffee for 30 years along with his wife, Cevronie, and six children. He’s looking forward to increased prices for coffee so he can continue to share his blessings with his relatives and community.

Burundi is among the smallest coffee-producing countries in East Africa. Masenga Hill is one of 5 hills overlooking Lake Tanganyika. The coffee trees are owned by the community, and the cherries are purchased directly from the farmers by Zephyrin Banzubaze and his team at Migoti Mountain washing station. They receive education & training on how to prune and properly care for their coffee trees, resulting in an increased yield of 5-10x and bring the profits back into the local community via a profit share model.

Details:

- Organically grown, fermented, washed & hand-roasted arabica beans
- Coffee quality score: 85
- Medium roast
